Had mine for a over 5 years, has worked well like others the plastic knob has cracked and I’ve started to notice the cooking time is taking longer.
Fantastic slow cooker. Have had it for at least 8 years i think, and it still goes strong. If only they sold replacement bowls for them as mine has a couple of cracks.
Worked great for about a year, then the knob cracked and shattered and the ceramic bowl cracked in half. Now 1.5 years later it is unusable.
I love this slow cooker and have had mine for over 8 years. I usually use it on the high setting and can cook a whole chicken and vegetables in 4 - 5 hours. But I never open it once I start cooking because I read that each time you remove the lid it takes a slow cooker time to get back up to temperature. (I wonder if this is what some people are doing wrong). It always cooks perfectly and then keeps the meal hot for second servings. I very highly recommend it.
Had one of these for years from 2007 and it was brilliant, replaced in 2019 with this model.....returned it! Uncooked veggies on slow, high dried out a casserole and burnt the meat, auto was effective as low
Terrible slow cooker. As others have commented it does a very poor job of cooking food, it is a health risk! We threw ours out.
Good size, lid a bit ill fitting compared to previous cookers I have had and lets too much steam out (I put tin foil over the top now). Biggest criticism is the control knob which is flimsy and had shattered. Glued it but it can't withstand the pressure required to turn it to difference settings. Not happy
Love Russell Hobbs products but was disappointed with this slow cooker. Bought one and it never seemed to cook anything, tried a few different things out just to ensure it wasnt my cooking but same result, returned it for a replacement and same issue. Returned again for a different brand and it works amazing.
Six hours on high and three pieces of chicken are not cooked. Onions are raw tomato has not broken.I've had not one meal cooked in this brand.thumbs down money waisted
Would not recommend. I agree with other lady. I never found this cooked anything. I thought it was my cooking till I just read this reviews. Sadly I have hunted high and low for the receipt and I cannot find it...because if I could I would take it back and swap it for another brand.
The vegetables were not cooked properly even after over 12 hrs slow cooking. The outside of the cooker got so hot. This is wasted heat and should be focused on heating the inside not the outside. When I turned it off I saw that the bench was scorched. This cookpot is not safe to use. The outside should not get as hot as it does. It is now returned and swapped for a Breville 6l which cooks all the veges and retains all the heat in the pot. Would not recommend the Russell Hobbs 6ltre.
I love Russell Hobbs brand I had my slow cooker for almost 5 years and it works amazing
