Briscoes is on the hunt for the nation's best bed maker, and we’re ready to reward serious skills with $10,000 cash and the ultimate bragging rights. We’re not just talking about throwing on a duvet and hoping for the best. We want to see someone who knows their way around a sheet set and pays attention to every detail, right down to the final fold that takes a bed from simply a place to sleep, to a sleep sanctuary that looks like it belongs in a 5-star luxury hotel.
Whether you're a parent who takes pride in a perfectly presented guest room, a seasoned hotel manager with years of bed-making experience in your back pocket or someone whose day doesn't start until the bed is made, this is your moment to shine!
On July 9, Briscoes will host a bed-making competition at Briscoes Panmure in Auckland to crown New Zealand’s Best Bed Maker. 
Not in Auckland? No worries, if you’re chosen as a finalist we’ll fly you in!

Four Finalists Will Also Receive: A complete luxury bedding package including: Duvet inner, Duvet cover set, Sheet set, Pillows, Suitcase to carry bedding, A queen size bed (transport of bed not included and will need to be taken with finalist on competition day)

To apply: all you need to do is submit a written entry below, telling us why you deserve to be crowned New Zealand’s Best Bed Maker. 
We’re not judging you on fancy words, we just want to know what makes you passionate about a well-made bed. Tell us about your routine, your experience, your tricks, your obsession with wrinkle-free sheets, whatever makes your style special.

Finalists will be selected to attend the live competition in Auckland on July 9 2025, where you’ll show off your bed-making skills in front of our panel,  including none other than the iconic Briscoes Lady herself.

The Briscoes Lady will be our official judge for the day and will be looking for: Technique and tidiness, Creativity and style, Efficiency, Attention to detail (creased corners, sheet tension, pillow placement, etc.), Overall presentation
