Bought this because of the rave reviews but am disappointed. It seems to take ages to cook, and on one side the top centre never cooks properly.

We have made Toasties in this since we got it for an engagement present 16 years ago. Coating has come off now so I bought a Sunbeam and wish I just bought another one of these. Best toasty maker will last you years.

Best toastie machine we have had. Just bought one for work too. My son took it to work and they loved it so much more than their other one I didn't get it back for weeks. Noticed another reviewer said the paint came off - presume they mean the non stick finish - ours if fine after a couple of years use - like with most non stick surfaces you have to use soft cloths to clean not something abrasive.
