I cant recommend these at all. Wife purchased them - yes on special, but the old saying is true, you get what you pay for, and we didn't pay much. These are no sharper than a cricket bat.

This is the second set I am buying, as a gift after having been so impressed by the first. Sharp enough when bought (NOTE: NO professional knives are ever truly sharp when you buy them - this is deliberate for your safety, and that of the workers safety when handling - the other reviewer just doesn't know what to expect).Only down side: the little labelling on the front isn't a perfect fit for the grove, and it's just a basic wooden block - but I don't care, I'm buying it for the knives.
